Morning Keynote Speaker: Ryan Manion

Ryan Manion has dedicated her life to supporting our nation’s military, veterans, and families of fallen heroes. She is inspired by the character, leadership, and sacrifice of her brother 1st Lt.Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Al Anbar province of Iraq while drawing fire away from his wounded comrades on April 29th, 2007. Now the CEO of one of the nation’s leading veteran service organizations –Travis Manion Foundation – Ryan works to empower veterans and families of fallen heroes to inspire future generations to be change makers in their communities. Ryan is the co-author of The Knock at the Door, in which she shares her personal story of grief, and how she moved forward to be the best version of herself. She is also the host of The Resilient Life podcast, where her guests discuss their experiences with resilience and how they have turned their challenges into opportunities of growth.

Afternoon Keynote Speaker: Kim Wright

Kim Wright is the owner and operator of five Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery locations in the greater Philadelphia area (Wynnewood, Springfield, Wayne, Collegeville, and Warrington, Pennsylvania) where you can enjoy the most delicious bundt cakes you have ever experienced! Nothing Bundt Cakes loves participating in local events and supporting its communities through fundraising and donations. Prior to opening her first bakery in July of 2018, Kim co-founded Wright Commissioning with her husband, William Wright. Wright Commissioning is a Philadelphia-based commissioning firm in the construction industry, with projects across the U.S. She is a native-Texan who has been living in Pennsylvania for 15 years. Kim is a proud boy mom to sons Aidan, twins Brady and Jack, and Charlie. When she isn’t sharing delicious bundts around town, you can probably spot her at an ice rink, cheering on her sons playing the entire family’s favorite sport—hockey.

Woman of Excellence Honoree: Nanette Sciolla Carney

Nanette Sciolla Carney is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Carney Group. Nanette’s background includes many years’ experience with the IBM Corporation.  After several promotions and a successful run with the Corporation, Nanette left the corporate world to raise a family of seven children. Volunteering in her community followed her children’s many activities including fundraising and CYO where she was a coach, advocate and athletic director. Her inclusive mindset helped hundreds of young students have the chance to participate in sports.  Her naturally inclusive nature prepared her for the birth of her youngest child, John Patrick, who has Down Syndrome. From day one and continues today, she has been actively involved in supporting organizations such as Variety Club and Special Olympics in order to give JP, and others like him, the fullest life possible.

POWER Awardee: Sara Sanders

Sara Sanders is a single mother of three wonderful boys and currently serves as the Director of Programs at Along the Way, a non-profit organization providing free childcare for low-income single mothers and families. Her journey with Along the Way began as a beneficiary of the organization's services, which led to her employment as a Case Manager. Later, she was promoted to Lead Case Manager before stepping into her current role.
